I took Katie to see our family doctor around noon today. He was a bit hesitant to continue with the medication idea, but Katie and I managed to convince him, so he agreed to up the dosage and give it another try.
When I was talking to Bobby in his room this afternoon I noticed a little parachute man (see photo to the right). Bobby said his mother bought it for him off Amazon. I used to LOVE these type of toys when I was a kid. I remember getting them at the “Five & Dime” stores in Truro and they provided HOURS of fun. This lead to me telling Bobby about one of my favorite toys when I was a kid, a rocket that you launched via slingshot. When it got to the top of it’s trajectory, a parachute would come out. Alas, I had higher hopes for this than it produced as it got stuck in the trees and I tried and tried to get it down but could not. I don’t know why I didn’t just go back to the store and get another one? I guess I might have thought it was too expensive back then? I don’t think it’s currently for sale, but this National Geographic Parachute Launcher STEM kit is pretty close!

The kids made cinnamon buns this evening (see photo to the left). Don’t they look good?
Oh, and I mentioned earlier today that the summer will soon be over and he should consider having a play date or sleepover with Esca or Zephyr or Bryston, etc… I mentioned that the last time he was over to Esca’s he got sick, and it might be in the back of their minds not to invite him over again. If he invited Esca over instead, well then, that’s a reset, problem solved!
My mind is circling around getting a laser engraver and having Katie design Christmas ornaments which we could then create and sell, but it might be more trouble than it’s worth…
