Today is Katie’s first full day of school as a Grade 11 student! Her mother dropped her off in the morning and picked her up in the evening as my leg is still not the best.
Bobby was home sick today.
Mom went down to Duncan this evening and left the three of us to fend for ourselves. She will be gone only one day, back late on Thursday night. The conference she will be attending in Duncan ends at 3 pm tomorrow, but she needs to work till 4:25 pm.
Bobby wanted pizza tonight! Katie said that she doesn’t prefer Islander Pizza, Bobby’s favorite, so we went looking for an alterative and ended up at Papa John’s. Good choice! Bobby said that he liked this pizza as well (see photo to the right). The usual order, one Hawaiian for Bobby and one cheese for Katie.
While out getting pizza Katie told me about her day. One of the big issues is finding someone to eat with during lunch. She has more options now than when she first arrived here on the island, but not every slot has been taken.
The kids and I watched a few documentaries while we munched on Papa John’s pizza this evening. Not one in particular, but we explored the mysteries of the pyramids, UFO’s, and stuff like that!
Maple has been eyeing Bobby all evening. For some reason she seemed very unsettled and Bobby has been taking her out to play and pee, but she still seems unsettled.
