Day #5091 (Thu., Dec. 14, 2023) – Concert #2
Bobby was not feeling well this morning, so he stayed home. Katie on the other hand, was feeling fine, so my wife drove her to school.
Bobby was asking about what a “Nutcracker” was, so my wife explained to him the process of using a nutcracker to open nuts. They then watched a bit of the “Nutcracker” ballet on tv.
I picked up Katie after school today in the van. She mentioned that Cicily is back in school now, but not in any of her classes. As I was picking Katie up I noticed Dexter, and his father, in the car behind me. Dexter used to be “The Bad” Sophie.
Tonight was Katie’s second orchestra performance at Chapel Hill East High School. Bobby didn’t feel like going, so I stayed home with him while my wife took Katie. The the end of the concert they had all the performers up on stage (see photo to the right).
I stayed by the phone in case she wanted me to come and pick them up as she has problems driving at night. While they were away Bobby and I watched a bit of the ole’ 1972 Kung Fu series on the television in the bedroom. This was the episode that we didn’t finish on Daddy/Son Day earlier in the month called “Dark Angel”. After a few moments, and references to the “Law of Attraction” and visualizing a Church, Bobby wanted to take another break. I’m afraid we still have not finished this episode… 🙂
