Day #5499 – (Sat., Jan. 25, 2025) – Laser Tag Birthday
My wife took the kids skiing this morning (see photo to the left), stayed for a sandwich and tea, and brought them home. This save the wear and tear on the van, and she said that she got more work done today than she does on a usual work day due to the lack of interruptions.
The kids didn’t last for today’s full lesson, but they did last longer than they did last week. I told Katie that her legs would get stronger each week and by the end of the skiing lessons for this season she will be wanting more…
While they were away I took Maple out, looked in on Batman, and tied back the gate with some yarn that I picked up at Walmart the other day so that it wouldn’t blow shut in the wind (see photo to the right).
Bobby is really looking forward to his birthday this year as the “Potential Plan” is to purchase a laser tag kit on Amazon. We checked into places that offer this and it’s so expensive that we might as well go and buy our own. The only problem is, will the parents of the friends who Bobby plans to play with allow them to play with a toy like this that they may view as a “Gun Toy”. I don’t think that they will mind though as it focuses on the “tag” aspect as opposed to shooting someone. The good side of this gift is that he will be getting a lot of exercise by running outside and that’s a great thing!
