Bobby had his friend Esca over to play today. Esca is originally from Germany and the fact that he too is new to Courtenay creates a bonding between him and Bobby. Esca’s dad has a Bachelor of Commerce and speaks good English.

At 4 pm this afternoon Katie and I went to see Batman again. He was still “groggy” and you could clearly see his surgery scars (see photo to the right). The little cone is still on his head!
They have a free coffee machine, which is nice. One free coffee for every $15,000 cat surgery! Not a bad deal don’t you think?
After staying with Batman for about an hour we ventured home. First up, Starbucks, which is also just a few doors down from WAVES. We then went to get a pizza at Panago Pizza (800 Kelly Rd, Victoria, BC V9B 5T6) to take home with us. While I waited for the pizza to be prepared I went to the “Bulk Barn” next door to pick up some snacks for the evening.
When we got home Katie went to her bedroom to do some video editing. On the only television in our AirB&B, in the living room, I watched a YouTube video that showed the vast difference between the “Mara Lago” Palm Beach and the “West Palm Beach” where the workers stay. Only a bridge separates the rich form the poor.
