Day #5611 – (Sat., May 17, 2025) – One Year Ago Today… BC Bound!
Exactly one year ago today we left North Carolina for our move to Canada! By NC…Hello BC! My how quickly time flies…
It’s a rainy day today… Creating a lot more mowing… But this will do wonders for our garden!
Bobby has no soccer today as this is a holiday weekend.
My wife had quite the night recovering from the COVID show… Fever, chills – heating on, three comforters and a hoodie and she was still shaking. After three hours of half-sleeping and half-being delirious, at 3 am she finally felt hot. She got rid of the extra layers and the fever was gone. She then took Maple out at 7 am and went back to bed and slept till 10 am. She then went back to bed for a nap while Katie was making cookies (see photo to the right).
On the news today is that Donald Trump wants Walmart to “eat the cost” for tariffs which Walmart says that it is forced to pass along to consumers.
Later today Katie was watching a documentary about Osama Bin Laden so my wife joined her. Even Bobby joined for a bit.
I got a good look at our rooster Valentine’s chest this evening… whatever it was it plucked away a lot of feathers but there doesn’t appear to be any wounds. He’s letting me get closer to him so maybe he is healing… feeding him mealworms probably helps … 🙂
