The family caught a “bug” in Europe somewhere. Flight? Perhaps! Museums? Perhaps! Paris? Perhaps! They are all resting today. Katie and I postponed our “Coffee Drives” till she feels better.
Maple went to the vet today and got three shots so she is tired as well. She’s happy to be able to sleep with Bobby again (see photo to the right). I’m not sure why they sewed Bobby’s torso to Maple’s butt! 🙂
Scott, the guy we will be getting our automatic gate arm from stopped by today to install the control box so that Anthony can tie in the power.
I got an email from Anthony. He wants us to consider an extra general purpose plug at the gate. He said: “With the nature of this gate electrical its relatively easy to add a general purpose plug,( add a wire in cable, outdoor plug assembly, additional connections ) in the $300-325 range. Original materials will come to a bit cheaper than expected and I’d be able to keep the 1500-2000 estimate with it included. I have installed a small sub panel in this type situation before for more available power but the customer was looking at plugging in an small RV as well. Unless there’s a big specific power draw you’d like, I recommend the above.
I opted to go with this extra plug. Anthony also told me that they guy will be here next Tuesday to dig the ditch that the cable from the house to the gate needs to go in.
