I put up two more 2×4’s in the chicken coop this afternoon. Hopefully this will be the last rendition of our chicken roosting area, but you never can tell… As of tonight, all the chickens seem to enjoy it (see photo to the right), but Valentine was on the floor later in the evening. We are not sure but we think he loses his balance and falls off. We thought that a 2×4 might help over a round pole, but apparently not. Who knows, maybe he just likes the floor late at night?
Pebbles wanted to sit up on the roost with Valentine but he pecked at her. What’s up with that?
My wife bruised her foot carrying a full laundry basket on Sunday. Looks nasty so I won’t post a photo here…
Exhaustion is catching up with Katie after the long weekend of excitement and the night out with Emma yesterday. And on top of all this is the homework! She is planning on going to see the movie “Wicked” with her friends when it comes out in a few days. Her friends were planning a sleepover this weekend but Katie decided she needed some time alone. Emma might be coming over to our house on Friday.
The kids had their viola/violin lessons this evening. Bobby played Minuet 3 beautifully. Katie is almost ready to finish Book 2.
