Day #5798 – (Thu., Nov. 20, 2025) – Parent/Teacher Meeting

There is no school today for Bobby as they are having Parent/Teacher Meetings at Huband. We went with Bobby at 11:40 am this morning. Bobby showed us his desk and the Halloween mask (with caramel corn hat) that he made during art class (see photo to the left). It was interesting to see how boys names have changed over the years. No desk had a “Mike” or a “Mary”…but there was a Zephyr!

The teachers were raving about Bobby and what a great student he is. His teacher from England said that he hasn’t yet discovered how intelligent he is. She also mentioned that maybe they would watch Peppa Pig in French at some point.

Afterward we went to the book fair in the library and I bought Bobby an “accordion” pen that he wanted. It basically had a plastic spring that you could expand and contract.

Maureen, the lady who we bought our property from, dropped off some lettuce for the chickens. They will eat it, but sure prefer “scratch” or mealworms.

Katie was not feeling well today but decided to go to “Model UN” after school today nonetheless.

Bobby had a fever of 100.2 and went to bed early this evening. And to think we were telling his teachers today how different this school year is from last year in that he was sick so much… He had no symptoms today so hopefully it is not the flu!
