I had to talk to my insurance company regarding the accident yesterday and Katie was not being very cooperative. She would talk and interrupt til I had my wife take her out of the room. She told my wife “Did I make daddy sad”? I later told her yes. She has to learn to be quiet when others are on the phone and learn that she is not the focus of the universe. She apologized and everything was fine.
Both my wife and I were exhausted by the end of the day. I took over tending to Katie so my wife could take a nap. By 9:30pm it was my turn to sleep. Katie and I started off by putting necklaces on the various jungle animals. Soon we were on the dining room table drawing pictures. I made a cutout of a lady, who I called Penelope Putterwheel (see photo to the right). She had two holds in her dress where you could put your fingers and make it look like her legs. Katie got a kick out of this.
Katie wanted me to draw her a rose and proceeded to add some details to the picture. Some sky and land first, then some bushes and strawberries. I put various trees on the picture and Katie added some apples, bananas and oranges. By this time my wife was up and I was off to bed.
WHAT I LEARNED TODAY

1) This evening Katie added some fruits to the picture I drew of a rose.
