Day #1569 (Mon., Apr. 21, 2014) – Teacher Appreciation Day
Since we are still sharing cars both my wife and I dropped Katie off at school this morning. I took the snacks inside (i.e.: biscuits in the shape of the letter “W” and some grapes) while my wife tended to Katie. As this is teacher appreciation day we gave Katie’s teachers some silicone oven mitts (see photo to the right) with a card “I have to AdMitt you are a great teacher”. I had Katie tell Miss Mary that she wanted a “Lamborghini” when she grows up… 🙂
This was the first time in weeks in which Katie would let my wife or myself go when we dropped her off at school. We keep asking her what the problem is but she won’t tell us. I then drove my wife to work and then went to work myself.
This evening Katie wanted to go out but my wife and I were just too tired. We were also afraid that if we went out we would not be able to put her to bed around 9pm, which is common these days. One good thing about her not having to nap any more is that she goes to bed at a decent time.
