Day #1731 (Tue., Sep. 30, 2014) – Alone Time
Batman and Robin fight a lot, but they can be loving too (as the photo to the right shows).
My wife has meetings at work on Tuesdays so I will be taking Katie to school on this day in the foreseeable future. As we were driving to school I made sure to drive home two points:
1) Play with Teagan today.
2) No clinging on daddy as I had to leave and go to work.
Katie’s reply was “Well, I still need to get you to bend down so I can kiss you”. As promised, Katie didn’t cling to me this morning. The assistant teacher took her by the hand and walked her into the classroom so that they could read together.
Luke, Katie’s classmate was there. True to form he had his Batman shirt on. I wonder if we will have our own little battles with a Spiderman shirt one day?
This evening I asked Katie what she did in school today. She replied that she needed some “alone time”. This means that she was busy playing with her toys and did not want to talk about school.
Later in the evening Katie changed her dress and was prancing around the living room in her purple high heels declaring herself a princess.
