Day #1955 (Tue., May 12, 2015) – Dusting Off The Guitar
My boss asked me if I had any hobbies. Not really these days…just changing diapers I suppose. At any rate, I told him I played a little guitar years ago and he wants me to give him a short video snippet. Something to do with a “Meet Your IT Personnel” campaign they are introducing…
At any rate, I got my red American Strat but broke a string trying to tune it (they are so old they were bound to break). I see that Katie managed to get ahold of it back when she went through her sticker craze a year or so ago…see photo to the right.
I then got the aquamarine “Stat” I got in Australia tuned up and raring to go. I’m so tired I’ll have to do this in the middle of the night…they want it for tomorrow.
At any rate, I was planning on getting the guitar out and raring to go so that I could play along with Katie once she takes to the piano. My wife and I talked about the possibility of Katie’s former nanny Emily giving her lessons this summer. I told Katie that one regret I have is that I didn’t pick up an instrument at her age and keep up with it over the years. Hopefully she will take my advice…
