Day #2480 (Tue., Oct. 18, 2016) – Halloween Lantern

Katie is having a class photo today. On the drive to Glenwood we talked about how much she loved it that her mom let her “hair run wild”.

2016-10-18-halloween-lanternI hunch with the kids doctor, Dr. Homan, at Applebee’s today. We had planned to meet last week but had promised his sons that they would have lunch on their birthday so he had to postpone it. We talked a bit about a lot of things. How he used to play football in school. How one of his twin boys loves to fish. How he used to do a lot of model airplanes when he was a boy. I invited him to our Halloween party but apparently his wife is also having a party. My wife tells me that he asked about meeting me for lunch right after we were discussing how Katie is a “Sensitive Child” and gave him a copy of the book.

My wife bought a special lantern that shines Halloween images onto a flat surface (see photo to the left). We set it up to beam them onto our front door. Now skulls and cats and bats and things dance to and fro on our door.

This evening Helen broke her arm when she fell off the monkey bars. Both Katie and I were asleep at the time so we didn’t learn about it til tomorrow.
