Day #2479 (Mon., Oct. 17, 2016) – Katie’s Art Prize

It’s my sister’s birthday today. I sent her a birthday greeting via 123Greetings.com
Helen came over to play with Katie this afternoon. Helen ate four hot dogs and Katie only ate one. We made an arrangement so that we would pick up Katie and Helen on Mondays and Susan would pick up Katie and Helen on Tuesdays. In this way we save on a nanny for Tuesdays.
Katie won some sort of a prize in art class today. A notepad in the shape of a soccer ball…just what she likes… 🙂 My wife and I are trying to piece it all together but it has something to do with collecting the most “spoons”? It’s really hard to get the facts of her day out of her sometimes.
We were going to interview another girl to take over Bobby’s nanny duties but she had to work late. She’s a Mormon from Utah. I think she is finishing up another babysitting gig.
Bobby has become quite selective in the videos he wants to watch on television. If you happen to bring one up that he doesn’t like he will say “no no no” and often will reach for the remote to show his disapproval. Often he will take it away from me and give it to my wife. I guess he likes her selections better.
I went to bed early this evening. My wife sent me an email. It stated:
Bobby fell asleep a bit after 8 pm. 15 minutes ago started crying, I picked him up.
‘Would you like milk?’ – ‘No’;
‘Would you like a book?’ – ‘No’.
He burped and pointed at a crib.
‘Would you like to go to bed’ – ‘Yes’
And off he went…
