We interviewed a nanny from El Salvador this morning. Bobby played in the sandbox during most of the interview and Katie had another stomach ache soon afterward. As it turns out we didn’t need to conduct this interview as Christine took us up on our offer of employment. She will start work on Monday.
I took Katie out for Daddy/Daughter Day #56 this afternoon. We went to the library to pick up some library books (See photo to the left). I picked up some business books as well. We were then off to McDonald’s to buy a chocolate-dipped ice cream cone for Katie and then to Sam’s Club to hunt for Easter eggs. They didn’t have any Easter eggs, but they did have strawberries and raspberries.
After some lemonade at Chick-Fil-A I drove Katie to the Durham apartment address I lived in as soon as I moved into this area in 1996. I told her that I saw a moose…April Fools! This started off a sequence of events where I helped her come up with and deploy her own April Fool’s joke. She was to go running into the house and say “Mom, I saw a raccoon”. Good in theory but not in execution. As soon as my wife saw her face she knew that she was just joking.
This evening I stopped off at Trader Joe’s for some Greek yogurt for Bobby and some peanut butter for Katie.
