Day #2825 (Sat., Sep. 30, 2017) – Progress After Throwing Up

2017-09-30 - The MenuThe photo to the left shows the hospital menu which I can order from. There is a limit to how many items I can order at a time, but it appears that I can order as many times as I want…as long as I leave one hour between orders. Quite the setup.

I had a terrible night last night. I woke up in pain around 10:10 pm and hit the nurse call at 10:20pm. The guy said that he would send the nurse but she didn’t come and at 10:40 pm I hit the call button again. This time nobody answered. I started to yell help, but nobody came. I’m in total dependence on them since I can’t walk. Eventually, she came but didn’t seem phased when I told her that I was a 10 on the pain scale. I asked to see the doctor on call, and he came, but nobody apologized to me for the terrible service. I told Stephanie about this when she got in and said that she reported it to her boss.

My wife left the kids at the Bosnians this morning and came over to the hospital to see me. They will have much more fun playing with the kids and will not get bored like they would at the hospital. I got my wife an omelet which she loved. In the afternoon my wife went to pick the kids up, then bring them over to see me, before heading home.

I was dizzy and sick this morning. When the knee surgeon arrived it looked like I was in such bad shape he suggested I go to Chatham Hospital for outpatient care. Once I threw up all the drugs they gave me I felt fine. I was able to do rehab no problem. People remarked on what great progress I had made.
