Day #2918 (Mon., Jan. 1, 2018) – Pay Phone Booth
I decided to have Daddy/Daughter Day #65 with Katie today. My thoughts were that we would go out to the pay phone that I saw in Orange County and have her try it out, but when we got there, no dial tone. They had already disconnected it. Oh well, at least she got to see one and it provided a good “photo op” (see photo to the left).
We then went to McDonald’s where she munched on a Happy Meal and we got a chance to lay some groundwork for our vet game. We came up with 10 – animal, problem, cure, bill cards. We then decided to go home and work on the board itself and perhaps play a round or two. Unfortunately, Bobby was up when we got home so we had to postpone this for another time.
On the way home, we stopped off at the Dollar Store where I got Katie a yo-yo (something she had been asking for). I also got a couple battery-operated cars for Bobby.
Bobby has gotten into the habit of pushing a chair up to “whatever” he wants to get off a shelf. This evening he was getting into the keys. It’s good we saw him as he was playing with Jui-Lan’s key and we certainly don’t want to lose that.
