Katie was very excited as I drove her to school this morning as today is the day for the “Tiger Rescue” day trip. Only grade two of the Mandarin program at Katie’s school will be able to attend, which effectively means Katie’s class and Helen’s class. Poor Helen…she is still in California and will miss this event along with the Glenwood Valentine’s Day.
Apparently, Miss Stanford gave the students a quiz before the field trip and said that if they didn’t pass it they would not be able to go on the trip. My wife emailed her about it.
When I got home from work the lights were out and nobody was home. My wife took the kids for a walk. I brought some candies home for the kids this evening (see photo to the left). I put them on top of our DVD tower so that they would not be able to see them till after their dinner. Eagle-eyed Bobby spotted them as soon as he got home.
The “Tiger Rescue” camp for this summer is already filled up. We’re very fortunate that we were able to get Katie a spot. I guess that they will even have a visit from a vet.
