I drove Katie to school today. Helen is still away. Katie and I explored a varied list of topics. She wanted to know if I used to use a quill to write when I was younger. Well, I’m not that quite told. This lead to an explanation of the various printing forms throughout the years, including cuneiform on clay tablets, papyrus, and the Guttenberg printing press.
Bobby has migrated from inside Daddy’s car to the roof (see photo to the right). Daddy’s car needs a car wash…with both the cats and Bobby roaming all over it now…
Bobby is getting really tricky when it comes to going to see Katie in the evening when she is asleep. He will be playing with you or talking to you at one minute and then down the hallway the next. We’re thinking of getting locking doorknobs for her bedroom and the hallway to help keep him out.
Katie told me that Tuesday is “Taco Day” at Glenwood. She doesn’t like tacos much so she opts for the second option, a peanut butter, and jelly sandwich. I asked her why she didn’t seem to like these sandwiches at home? She said that they had different bread. White “Wonder Bread” no doubt. Not the best for you, but then again, it’s better than nothing as we have a hard time getting Katie to eat anything these days. I recall that Easter photo we took of her in the bunny ears when she was a newborn and so chunky. Long and lean Katie, those days are gone…
