Day #2997 (Wed., Mar. 21, 2018) – Reply From Murren’s Mom
The photo to the left shows the chocolate eggs that I picked up for the kids at Trader Joes. They seem to have something new “Eastery” every year.
I drove both Katie and Helen to school this morning. Helen told us that she was up early to see her father off, who is going skiing in Utah.
Katie’s piano class was this afternoon. Miss Laura gave my wife some books that are good for duets as my wife and Katie are into that phase now. Ellie, the girl who also takes piano lessons with Katie, will be leaving for Florida soon. They are closing down the Mebane office her father works at and he is moving to Florida rather than stay in the area and get a job with another company.
My wife sent this email to Murren’s mother this afternoon:

Katie has been telling me for a few days that Murren and Sophie are being mean to her, calling her babyish, etc. I hope you won’t get mad at me for telling you this! I know that Ms. Miao talked to them yesterday… Sorry if it’s TMI and you would rather let teachers handle the girls! 🙂
I hope your defense was awesome – it’s great to have it done, isn’t it? What are the next steps? Any job offers?

Bobby gets so excited when he sees me come home from work. He has taken to crying when I tell him that I am going to work in the morning. He rushed over to Katie and told her the news.
Katie was watching the movie “Charlotte’s Web” on television when I got home. She found it on Netflix.
Another trip to Trader Joe’s for supplies this evening. The kids are back into drinking smoothies again, so small yogurt cups and bananas were the main get this evening.
