Day #3163 (Mon., Sept. 3, 2018) – Labor Day

2018-09-04 - Green FirehouseIt’s Labor Day here in the United States. This might be one of the last times that the kids can enjoy swimming pools as they usually start to close after Labor Day. I took the kids to “The Farm” pool this morning so that they could have one of their “final” dips of the season.

Alexandra, Claudia’s mom, was there with Claudia. Arnesa brought Ayra. I took Katie and Bobby, so it was quite the group. Bobby enjoyed playing with the two “squirt guns” that Claudia brought. Katie said that the highlight for her was when I let her put her foot in my hands and she would jump backwards into the pool. I did this till my shoulder started to hurt.

We found Bobby’s old swim goggles in the lost & found.

This afternoon I went to Trader Joe’s. I see that they have a large container of organic French Vanilla yogurt now. Katie likes this in her smoothies, so this will save us some money over the little tubs that we have been getting.

This evening I made a green firehouse for Bobby out of bristol board (see photo to the right).
