Day #3586 (Thu., Oct. 31, 2019) – Halloween
I had to wake Bobby up this morning as he hasn’t been going to bed on time as of late. After helping him put on his Red Power Ranger outfit we were off to school. All the kids were dressed up in their Halloween outfits today.
After dropping Bobby off I went to find the pumpkin that rolled down the road last night. I found it, in a gully (see photo to the left). No wonder we couldn’t see it last night. Katie went and got it after school today and we put it back up again.
I went to Sam’s Club next, where I picked up some “Frozen II” movie treats for the kids who come to our house. Next up, Trader Joe’s, where i picked up two packages of meatballs. My wife is going to make a dish for the Halloween Party we are having at Vicky’s place this evening.
Katie is Snow White this year. I wore the Canadian “Lobster” hat while my wife wore the London “Bobby” hat. Bobby of course was the Red Power Ranger.
At 5 pm we met at the end of our street. I waited with Bobby for the rest of the trick-or-treater’s to arrive, while my wife drove to Vicky’s place to pick her up. Her mom is getting the place ready for the party, so she will be walking with us this year. Bobby was a bit fussy as we had to wake him up from his nap as well, but he perked up once Guenther and Russell arrived (the whole family was dressed as skeletons).
The party was good. Katie showed Vicky and the rest of the kids our YouTube channel on their big living room tv. It was over by 8 pm and we “almost” got home when it started to heavy rain. We all got a bit wet.
