Day #390 (Fri., Jan. 28, 2011) – Let’s Talk Baby Clothes

My wife sent me an email while I was at work. She mentioned: “Katie is in bed, not sleeping, but quiet. We had a very nice walk – met a nice very chatty lady with two dogs. So had lots of fun socializing – she is going to Italy and France next fall.”

There is a play area down the road that I think Katie might like. They have an infant area, so we will have to check it out one day.

Time to talk about baby clothes. The photo to the right shows some of the clothes we picked up for Katie at the consignment sale on Sunday. They would cost a fortune at the retail stores, but were on sale for $0.50 (1/2 price of $1.00). Some were practically brand new with the tags still on them. We need a lot of clothes for Katie as she will cover herself with food when she eats. If we didn’t have a lot of clothes we would have to do laundry every day.

I see that ETrade has successfully taken money out of my checking account and put it into Katie’s College Fund. I’ve set it up to do this on a weekly basis.

We went to Moe’s for dinner this evening…they had a $0.99 Joey Jr. Special, so my wife and I both ate for a little over $2.00 with tax. Can’t beat that for a night out. Katie ate her “slop”, as usual…

On the way home we stopped off at Harris-Teeter to get Katie some goat’s milk. They didn’t appear to have any. We got some somewhere…but don’t remember where. Was it WholeFoods?

9:24pm – Katie is playing in the playyard right now. I ask her “Where’s the frog” and she goes right to it.

WHAT I LEARNED TODAY

1) Katie sure loves her Moe’s.
