Day #6013 – (Tue., June 23, 2026) – Miss Hudson Accompanies!

I drove Katie to Huband at 9:05 am this morning where we met Bobby at the reception desk. The kids played their viola/violin for Bobby’s class with Bobby’s teacher, Miss Hudson, playing the cello (see photo to the right).

Kristina stayed the night and left for Victoria this morning.

I fixed the rear brake on Bobby’s new mountain bike this morning. Relatively simple once you watch a YouTube video to determine what’s going on.

I set up an appointment for Katie with Amy on Thursday at 6 pm. Katie wanted to talk about her adhd and autism assessment. We are going to take Bobby with us.

The kids took their bikes out for a ride later today. Katie mentioned how she wants that Walmart bike we saw yesterday.

This evening I took Bobby to Dosirak for a boba, making this Daddy/Son Chat #32. We also picked up a boba for Katie. The girl who made the drinks was new so it took quite a while. On the drive there and back we talked a bit about the viola/violin performance this morning. Bobby mentioned that he wanted to go see “Discovery Day” so I guess I will see it twice, which I don’t mind.

Katie’s Final Grades

Pre-Calc 11 (final score: 89): Thank you for a brilliant semester Katie! Your hard work, conscientiousness, superb organizational skills, and your contributions were all highly appreciated. Term 4 was compact in that many new concepts were covered. They included completion of Trigonometry, Radical Expressions and Equations, Rational  Expressions and Equations, Systems of Equations and Inequalities, and Absolute Values. You absorbed it all very well. I wish you a relaxed summer break, and hope our paths cross again next year. Great work Katie!

Guitar (final score 100): In Level 2 Guitar this term, Katie learned basic Fingerstyle technique as well as a selection of fingerstyle songs. She completed a Blues Unit and a number of repertoire songs that focused on different playing skills. Despite missing a good number of classes this semester, Katie was able to complete the assignments to a high standard. She was a pleasure to have in class.

Social Studies (final score 94)
