Our new babysitter had a cold today so she didn’t come today. So nice of her to be concerned about Katie’s health and well-being.
I made some slow cooker chicken with peas and corn yesterday. It’s all good stuff, so Katie had some today for lunch. She loved it.
My wife was able to get a number of wooden puzzles for Katie at the consignment sale (see photo to the left). She does enjoy “trying” to put the pieces in place…but she’s not quite there yet. Even better, she enjoys banging the wooden pieces together to make noise…
This evening we watched a bit of Lawrence Welk and then I shut the television off so that we could read and play. She kept pointing to the television and yelling “ta”. It was obvious that she was not done her dancing for the evening, so Lawrence Welk went back on.
Katie is just so curious that she opens up every drawer that the comes into contact with. We are going to have to baby proof (or get rid of) everything in the house at this rate.
We were watching a bit of a PBS Special on Hummingbirds this evening when Katie decided that she would stand up and watch. She can stand up for a while as long as she doesn’t realize that she is standing up…then down she goes.
WHAT I LEARNED TODAY
