Katie went to school today but Bobby stayed home sick.
We have new nesting boxes for the chickens now (see photo to the left). They don’t have backs on them so I will have to figure out something to solve that problem.
I picked up Katie at 4:30 this afternoon at Vanier after the “Model UN” club got let out. We went for a drive and ended up at Starbucks for Daddy/Daughter Day #164. The girl who waited on us asked us if we wanted an extra sandwich, so we took it (see photo to the right). We’re not exactly sure why but they either made a sandwich that the customer didn’t want or the customer never stopped by to pick it up. Katie had already ordered a sandwich, so she ate that, and took the extra one home.
Katie mentioned that she is equally excited about her trip to Toronto as she is her trip to Vancouver for “Model UN”. We talked a bit about Toronto and I told her that I think she will like it. She can bundle up on those cold days and they don’t happen all the time in the winter. I told her that there is a strong possibility that she will end up in either Vancouver or Victoria, but even perhaps Silicon Valley if the issues in the US get resolved and she meets some connections in entrepreneur school. Silicon Valley is after all the venture capital center of the Universe, and whoever she meets in Toronto might be itching at the chance to know someone who has an American passport!
Bobby got mini Rubik’s Cubes in his Advent Calendar today and the kids enjoyed trying to solve them this evening.
