Bobby is home sick today. Katie went to a math contest at North Island College today.

I went to Comox Valley Pharmacy (near Tim Hortons on Guthrie) this afternoon to get my COVID booster shot.
The math contest at North Island College went till early afternoon. They fed the kids pizza and gave them a bit of a tour. Katie was disappointed that they didn’t show them the business area. My wife picked up Katie from North Island College once the math contest was done and they went to a tulip farm fair (see photo to the right).
Katie was a bit down this afternoon as she didn’t think she did as well in the math contest as she had hoped. I took her out for a drive to talk about it and we ended up at the Dairy Queen where I bought her a small chocolate dipped cone. I told her to not fret the math contest or her math grades as the Universe has a way of making everything turn out in your favor. If poor grades happen to prevent her from getting into UBC, she might go to UVic and find out that this leads to “whatever” greatness is in store for her. I’m trying to teach her to not stress the small stuff, just do your best, and enjoy the ride as much as you can.
Bobby was feeling better towards the end of the day. No news yet on redoing the voiceover on the YouTube short we made together.
