Bobby went to school today and the class has a surprise ready for him. Apparently the classes Minecraft Project came in second in a contest. I guess another guy (yes one guy) in another school won the contest. Prizes and recognition are forthcoming.
I drove Katie to school this morning but her mother picked her up just before noon as I had a doctor’s appointment. Apparently my knee is healing properly… Sensitive and weak, but nothing to worry about.
At 1 pm this afternoon I took Katie to her orthodontic appointment, then came back to pick her up shortly after 2 pm.
Next up was taking the kids to their viola/violin lessons with Miss Daisy. Katie was excited to share the news of her autism test in Victoria. Their mother zoomed in to the session to see the progress.
On the way home from Daisy’s place they wanted to stop and get out of the car to see a horse in a nearby field. The horse could have cared less about them (see photo to the right). They didn’t request Wendy’s tonight, so I didn’t offer…. Let’s save a few bucks as each combo meal now costs $15!
There was an interesting situation in Comox today. Apparently an excavator ruptured a sewage pipe and raw sewage was streaming into Goose Spit and Comox harbor. The community received an alert to not flush toilets or use water. The washrooms at McDonalds and restaurants were closed as a result. The situation was fixed by the evening and everything was back to normal.
