Happy Canada Day! Last year the family was celebrating it in Lithuania while I stayed home to take care of the animals.
Today Katie met up with Abby, a girl from her social study class. They walked from the Lewis Center to Canadian Tire, taking in the Canada Parade on the way. One of the highlights of their day was “Geo Caching”. Abby had an app on her iPhone, and it showed various little treasures that people have put in hidden locations around town. I guess it’s kinda hard to find some of the hidden items and Katie found one jar in a tree, which she took a bracelet from.
Bobby stayed home most of the day. He did this wonderful drawing (see photo to the right). Katie was very talented in this way as well.
Bobby was not feeling well when I talked to him this evening. He was not feeling very well and when I quizzed him on what he ate today he said muffin, yogurt, and ice cream. He was planning to have spaghetti this evening. He usually eats in his room while my wife and Katie eat in front of the television and watch “Survivor”.
