Day #6067 – (Sun., Aug. 16, 2026) – Reverse Osmosis System Filters

This morning my wife was able to change the water filters for the reverse osmosis system in the main house (see photo to the right).

I mowed a bit more of the grass in the main paddock this afternoon. The grass is so thick that it doesn’t take long for the batteries to wear out, so I’m going to have to keep recharging, then making a few passes, until it’s done… Such is the price for leaving mowing to so far long in the season…

Bobby got invited over to Bryston’s this afternoon for a playdate. Kye was there as well. They spent most of the time in the pool.

Zephyr invited Bobby over for a sleepover tonight, at least that was the plan once he got back from Bryson’s, but it was not to be. He returned from Bryston’s place after spending three hours in the pool and was not well. We’re wondering if he gets overheated in the sun by playing so long as this is not the first time this has happened. He fell asleep at 9 pm.

He had pizza today, so as far as we can tell, there is no food connection. Having said that, I remember the time we went to the Oyster Bay Hotel and he got sick and threw up. No sun that day, or no activity, but lots of fast food and candy and treats. He tends to get bad heartburn from bad food.

Katie went out on the swing tonight to “swing & relax”. She always tells us when she is going so that we don’t lock her out.

At McDonalds this evening a teenage girl produced a roll-on anti-perspirant and proceeded to use it in front of her friends. As she did she said “I don’t want to stink”. Is this common practice among teenage girls in public these days?
