The whole family went over to see our neighbor Carolyn this morning so that Maple could play with her dog Mishka. Carolyn was telling us about what the Comox Valley was like when she was young, and where all the homeless and druggies came from! She also told us that Barney was sleeping on her bed. He has such an easy life now (like Batman) that he doesn’t wander up to the barn to take care of the mice and rats!
I took my Camry to the “Great Canadian Oil Change” near Canadian Tire this afternoon to get the oil changed. I want the car to be in “tip-top” condition for my trip to Victoria this Tuesday to see Randy Bachman and Burton Cummings perform.
Katie went swimming with Jax at 5 pm today. She mentioned to me that I might have to pick her up, but my services were not needed. Katie actually swam today, and Bobby has been going to the pool. My wife made the comment that the kids have actually started to swim as opposed to going to the pool or bodies of water to play games or with toys. We have to that Miss Barbara in Chapel Hill, and her lessons, with teaching the kids to swim.
I tried to set up the domain name for Katie’s model UN website, but the email address she provided is using a phone for authentication when I try to log in. It might be Jax’s phone, but we don’t have access to it. Katie texted Jax to find out how to proceed. We could always set up the domain with another email address and transfer to this email once things get sorted out.
We have a fly infestation in the barn so I need to pick up some traps for them tomorrow. ChatGPT told me that I could make a great trap out of a 2 liter soda bottle, but I think I will ask the guys at Shar-Kare tomorrow as I need to go there for layer feed and shavings anyway.
Bobby and I are in the formative stage of taking the RC boat and RC truck to the beach next week to try them out. There is a great little beach area near the Griffith Pub that would give us great access without a lot of parking and people issues.
