Katie is going to hang out with Jax tomorrow at Starbucks before his “Surprise Birthday Party”. Katie was wondering if it would be okay to give him her gift then as opposed to during the party. You can see her card to him in the photo to the right. I suggested that she wait till the party as that would be when all the others would be giving him their gifts. Having said that, giving it to him beforehand would make it even more memorable. There is some talk of going to Goose Spit for the “Surprise Party”, which means that the gifts could get wet, so that’s another parameter to fit into the equation. I suggested that Katie bring along some type of covering or bag (such as a garbage bag) so that all the gifts could fit inside if the weather does turn nasty. She liked this idea.
It’s so interesting to me that everyone wants to hang out at Starbucks. I guess that’s the way that things are “trendy” go. The food and drinks are outrageously expensive for what you get, and the seating arrangements are rather sparse I find, and when you see blind taste tests of coffee on YouTube videos, they are CONSTANTLY beaten by McDonald’s coffee!
This evening Katie and Bobby and I had a game of pool. Well, it ended up being Katie and Bobby while I watched, but that was fine. It was fun to just hang out. Bobby won the first game and Katie won the last two, but all three were close. It’s nice to see the kids enjoying an activity that doesn’t involve screens!
My wife was able to book a session with Amy for this upcoming Monday. Katie wants to see her before she goes back to school. It appears that Amy is starting to wind her therapy business down a bit. She has stopped taking new clients.
