Day #577 (Wed., Aug 3, 2011) – My Mother-In-Law Arrives
Katie has a nasty bruise on her leg. We were trying to figure out where it came from. We think that it might be from the posts on her rocking horse. She sometimes bangs her legs into them when she tries to sit on it.
Christina was supposed to come over this afternoon and help us out but she had to babysit her friend’s kids.
We picked up my mother-in-law around 5pm this afternoon. All three of us…my wife, Katie, and I, arrived to pick her up. Katie enjoyed going up and down the escalators.
For dinner this evening we went to the Golden Coral … my mother-in-law’s favorite restaurant the last time she was here. On the drive over Katie was playing with my mother-in-law’s beads. Katie left quite a mess around her high chair so I figured I had better leave an extra tip. I didn’t have any, but as you can tell from the photo to the left they are serving cotton candy now.
As I was taking Katie into the house this evening my wife and mother-in-law were still at the car. Katie got real fussy and tried to go back to the car. She calmed down when they arrived at the front door. Has she gotten attached to my mother-in-law this quickly?
