Both kids are home sick today. Bobby had a long nap this afternoon.
Katie went to the dentist this afternoon. Unfortunately he couldn’t resolve her toothache as it is apparently due to the braces.
Bobby learned how to play games on the television in the living room this afternoon. He was able to figure it out via the “yellow” Amazon Fire remote control.
This afternoon I made an Elvis Presley Sandwich. I’ve heard of various renditions of this sandwich over the years, but here is a popular version with honey instead of jam. Originating at a restaurant called “The Colorado Gold Mine Company, this “Fool’s Gold Loaf” tempted Elvis so much that he flew his whole crew from Memphis to Denver to get one! Rather than a baguette, I used a hot dog roll (see photo to the right). The ingredients in my version? Along with the hot dog roll, peanut butter, jam, banana, and bacon. Turkey bacon in my case. Bobby had one, my wife had two, and Katie passed.
