Day #5584 – (Sun., Apr. 20, 2025) – Easter Egg Hunt!
We had an “Easter Egg Hunt” this morning. Katie organized it and Bobby carried it out. Maple ignored the game and played with her ball. Mr. Squirrel (see photo to the right) supervised.
Katie decided to dispense with a map this year and instead would provide instructions via “warmer” and “colder” (see photo to the left). For part of the game my wife and I talked to our neighbor Caroline. This is the first time I talked with her at length. She is a real “horse person”…
I’m seriously thinking of selling the stocks in my ROTH accounts and moving the money to Canada. I sent an email to our accountants today asking for advice. The reasoning was that since it was the weekend they might find time to respond outside of the busy work week. It was not to be. Hopefully tomorrow, but perhaps they will only respond after tax season is over.
My wife and Katie planted a few lilies this afternoon. We’re really going to have to “get cooking” on getting that gate installed. The deer and critters will be here before you know it looking for something new to eat.
I need to get some gravel for the driveway close to the barn. Since I park my 2008 Toyota Camry Hybrid here quite a bit, the ground is starting to turn to mud. Our neighbor Robert has used Black Rock Landscaping and I see via their website that it will cost about $75 per cubic foot. A lot more expensive than it was when my father and I went gravel shopping when I was a kid.
