Day #5619 – (Sun., May 25, 2025) – “Empire of Therapy”
We are in the process of collecting info that we will take with us to the lawyer on Wednesday for the updating of the will.
I took Katie out for Daddy/Daughter Day #158 today. As I was leaving Bobby was asking if we could go talk sometime. I said sure, he can come with Katie and I. He said that it wasn’t urgent, so we’re going to get together, probably tomorrow.
First up was some Purolator returns at Staples. As we left we checked out the journals. We passed the “Cricket” machines, which Katie said she would like one day, but realized that she can make do with printing out the images for her journal on our laser printer for now.
Next up was Costco where we picked up some cabbage rolls, vinegar, and various other supplies for the main house. Definitely “Sweet Potatoes” for me so that I can make a bunch of those delish “Sweet Potato Creami” desserts! Bobby still remembers the dumplings we used to get at the Chinese restaurant in Chapel Hill, so hopefully one of the two I picked up today will hit the spot (see photo to the right).
On the way home we picked up some hot dogs for Bobby and my wife and continued our drive. On the way back we ended up taking “Dove Creek Road” and my oh my what a lot of beautiful farms were on that road. Katie made a comment that we need to remember it and come her again… Hence this note… 🙂
Katie is really excited about her future now. She is envisioning an “Empire of Therapy” for lack of a better word. People can come to this retreat to have their personal or family lives healed. You can choose between various types of therapy from Gestalt to Freudian, and there will be parks with different themes. Fall, Winter, and even a family park with slides and rides for the kids. She plans to have a YouTube channel and wants to treat her employees well and let them have their own YouTube channels and give recommendations to her “Empire” if they like… Quite the lofty vision! I can see why she feels that time is running out for her.
