I found a gift card for a Landmark kid’s movie and combo meal in my wallet today (see photo to the right)! Bobby usually wants more popcorn than the kid’s combo meal provides, so I’m thinking of taking him out to see a show on Monday and perhaps eating at McDonald’s beforehand? In this way he will be full when he arrives at the theater and will not want more popcorn. I have this movie/combo gift card now and we might as well use it up…
Back in North Carolina we had a round nose shovel with a red handle and a black grip. We have not seen it since the move, so perhaps it didn’t make it? I’m in need of a round nose shovel, and I thought that surely there must be one around the property, but both my wife and I searched for one to no avail. I have the image of a round nose shovel with a weathered handle, like we have on all sorts of other field implements on the property, but is it possible that this goes all the way back to the round nose shovel with a weathered handle that I used to dig sewer holes on the motel when I was a kid? Perhaps… My how time flies, and the memories that linger from childhood.
Katie and I went for a drive this evening. The plan was to stop off at Home Depot and pick up said shovel, but it was a few minutes before 8 pm and it was closing up. I will have to get it tomorrow. We then went to Starbucks and the drive thru said that they were closed as well, but when we ended up at the window the lady said that she would serve us. I even managed to use the Starbucks card that I found in my wallet at the same time as the Landmark movie/combo gift card!
