Both kids went to school today. My wife took Katie to Vanier and Bobby rode his bike to Huband. Oh, an interesting note… I just learned that Kim Cattrall, of “Sex And The City” fame, graduated Vanier back in 1972! Small world…
Emma asked Katie if she wanted to hang out after school today so they went to Tim Hortons (see photo to the left) and then back to Emma’s place. They are becoming much closer and Katie said that Emma has a lot of the same insecurities that she has. She mentioned that Emma has a lot of expensive “Smashmallows” in her bedroom and that although her room is much smaller, it has a lot of nice furnishings. I think that Katie is gradually becoming more and more comfortable with inviting Emma over to the house one day.
I picked up Katie at 7:15 at Emma’s house this evening and drove her home. She was very excited about starting a new journal, and we almost went looking for one, but since she had a lot of homework we decided to wait. When she arrived home Bobby had a bracelet that he made out of elastics to give her. Katie was so touched that she gave him the sprinkled donut that she brought home from Tim Hortons.
I picked up a couple more 2×4’s at Home Depot this evening to expand upon the roosting area for the chickens.
