Both kids went to school today! Yippee for small miracles… 🙂

Check out the new pink luggage that Katie got for her upcoming trip to Toronto (see photo to the right … dog not included…)
Valentine was lying on his side this morning so we were worried that he had “bit the dust”, but he eventually got up and went outside. Interesting little chicken…
Next semester should be easier for Katie in terms of workload. She will have English online, and social studies and guitar, but Math 11 will be challenging for her. She’s concerned that she won’t have friends in some of the classes.
The kids had their group viola/violin class this evening.
We were all thinking of going out this evening to drive around and look at the Christmas lights this evening but Bobby had an assignment to do so my wife stayed behind with Bobby to finish it and Katie and I went out. We stopped off at Tim Hortons on Guthrie Road so Katie could get an ice cap and vanilla iced donut. I had a coffee with oat milk and Splenda.
While at Tim Hortons a Filipino worker named “Rod” waited on us. I took the opportunity to, for the first time, try out a Tagalog phrase on him: “Tingnan ko, ano ang gusto ko?”, which translates to “Let me see, what do I like?” He didn’t totally understand what I was saying as I didn’t pronounce “Tingnan” properly, but he sure appreciated the effort. The Filipino people are so friendly and happy and appreciative if you like their culture and put forth the effort.
