The kids are off school today. Tomorrow they go back after spring break!
Kristina went skiing this morning and then drove home to Victoria afterward. She might be coming again next weekend.
I dropped Katie off at the Courtenay Starbucks at noon today to meet with Jax and Ruby. They talked for over 3 hours! Katie said that she was excited they shared her view on AI.
While Katie was at Starbucks I went to Walmart where I picked up some Easter chocolate for 1/2 price (see photo to the right). I got the exact same thing for Katie and Bobby so that they wouldn’t fight… 🙂 Unfortunately, it was hot in the car during this warm spring day, so it melted in the back seat… 🙁 oh well, it still will taste good!
I also stopped off at Shur-Kare to pick up a bale of straw for the chickens.
After picking Katie up we drove to Waypoint so that we could add Katie to the van insurance. Now she can drive both the Camry and the van.
Unfortunately, on the way home, a truck honked at Katie as the was trying to yield into the Island Highway. This kind of freaked her out so we had a chat about how these things happen to all of us and just take it as a learning experience and be glad nothing bad happened.
I don’t want Katie to be thinking of this during this semester so I think I will suggest that she just focus on her school work and we can go driving whenever she feels comfortable. Maybe start off in calmer neighborhoods again, and go to these more busy intersections early Sunday morning when there is no traffic to get experience and exposure. I’ll run this by her and see what she thinks.
Bobby was not feeling well today and had a rash on his face… What’s up with that?
