The kids went on a bike ride on the trail behind the house this afternoon. You can see them at the start of their journey in the photo to the right. They started off the ride behind the Barn Suite as it’s “downhill” to the end of the street if you go in that direction. Bobby was telling me that the “washer fix” I did to the rear end suspension of his new bike works great. It’s much easier for him to pedal it now, and get up to a good speed.
The kids and I made plans to go see Spiderman on this Thursday afternoon. Katie was going to go with Deanna, but that didn’t work out, so she will come see it with Bobby and I. It seems that the 12 noon showing has the most free seats, and I will try to get tickets to the 3D show.
This afternoon I did a bit of mowing on the grass where the Camry sits. A little bit at a time, and it will be all done. Bobby came to meet me on his bike and together we rode to the end of our street. He took his eBike and I took the eTrike. He has only one speed, and I have three! He was surprised at how fast the eTrike will go, but I didn’t drive it too fast or hard…I’m still getting used to it.
My wife called up Katie’s driving instruction company today and tried to switch her driving instructor to the owner. Well, she was successful, but as the adage goes, be careful what you wish for. Although the owner has great online reviews, she was kinda harsh on the phone call, so we’ll see what happens. Katie has only five lessons left before her driving test in December. Katie’s new instructor wants me to take her out for 30 hours of driving before she sees her again.
