Day #933 (Tue., July 24, 2012) – Mickey Mouse Balloon
I went to the Dollar Store today to get some more “Special Presents” for Katie. I’ve actually got quite a little pile of them…might have to package them up and give them to her for Christmas this year. On the way out of the store I noticed a Mickey Mouse / Goofy / Donald Duck helium balloon (see photo to the right) so I had to get this for her as well.
This evening Katie was throwing her sleeping sack around and I told her that she should not do that. It has a zipper on it and it could really hurt someone if it landed on a soft spot. She started to cry and went to mommy for a hug. I then went into great detail to explain why she should not do this and she listened intently. In the end she said “Okay”…so hopefully lesson learned.
My wife was telling me that she has started to read books to Katie on her new bed before she puts her to bed. Katie loves this and it helps to wind her down after a long night of tag and running and dancing and “whatever”.
