The photo to the right shows the construction toy that my wife picked up at a consignment sale in Durham today. Katie is into “boy toys” these days.
While my wife took Katie to the park I put up the $5.00 full-length mirror that I got at Target a while back. Now Katie will be able to see herself when she runs up and down the hall. She seems to be looking at herself in the mirror more and more as of late.
Brian and Susan were going to come to our place for dinner tonight but Susan was sick.
This evening we took Katie to Maple Dairy Farms for an ice cream. My wife got a 2-scoop cone of peach and banana pudding to share with Katie and I got a waffle cone of lemon cream. All was delish.
This evening Katie was in a real “interesting” mood. Sometimes when you ask her a question she will close her eyes and turn her back to you…wonder what’s up with that? We later learned that Helen, Brian and Susan’s little girl, does that. She must have learned it from her.
I played guitar this evening while Katie danced, then she asked for a turn. I put her on the couch, rested the guitar next to her, and she strummed along and sang “Itsy Bitsy Spider”. She did quite a good job. Maybe this is going to be her career?
WHAT I LEARNED TODAY

1) Katie strummed the guitar and sang along this evening.
