We’re ready for company. The photo to the right shows our dining room table made up and ready for our guests.
Katie has learned to open the doors so you have to be sure you lock them or she will just enter the room. I was sleeping late this morning and even though the doors were closed Katie opened up the door to the bedroom and woke up daddy.
Our neighbor’s the Sues came over for lunch today. They recently got back from a bus tour of Nova Scotia and brought along their iPad to show us their photos. We had tea and cheesecake at the living room table and Katie joined us.
This evening Brian and Susan brought their kids over for dinner. Helen didn’t have a nap today so she was rather fussy and didn’t want to get out of the truck. Eventually all the kids were running around and having a grand time. We had lasagna, salad and cheesecake and the grownups had wine as well.
We got talking about Halloween this year and thought it would be great if all the kids got together with the parents and went door-to-door as pack. The kids would love to see each other in their costumes and the parents could socialize as well. Maybe we could have them all over to our house afterwards for a Halloween evening party?
