Day #1170 (Mon., Mar. 18, 2013) – Rhyming Katie

As I was getting ready for work this morning I looked out our back yard and a red fox was running across the grass. There sure is a lot of wildlife at our new home.

Katie was fussy and said that she missed daddy so my wife called me up at work. I talked to Katie for a while and told her that I was at work but would bring her a “Special Present” when I came home. She seemed content that she could at least talk to me. My wife and I remarked at how legible the conversation was. Our little girl is growing up.

Katie is becoming more musical every day and we are not sure where she has developed this rhyming ability that she has. This afternoon my wife told me that she put a butterfly sticker on her tummy. When my wife replied that this was funny Katie responded: “Don’t worry, don’t be funny… It’s a sticker on my tummy”.

This evening I gave Katie another “Glow In The Dark” dinosaur. She now has two.

My wife asked Katie this evening “Do you know where Africa is”? She replied “I do – in the kitchen”! You can confirm this fact via the photo to the right.

Katie came up with yet another song this evening: “Chugga chugga choo. Got to get bamboo”.

WHAT I LEARNED TODAY
