Day #1175 (Sat., Mar. 23, 2013) – Doctors Are Fun
My wife went to a consignment sale in Chapel Hill at 7am this morning. She returned with plenty of books for Katie.
I told Katie that I was going to the doctor this morning. She said “I love doctors”. When I asked why she replied “Doctors are fun”. She then asked me where the doctor lived. I told her “Urgent Care”, just down the road. She said “Maybe a coughing doctor”. I replied yes.
The doctor determined that I have bronchitis & perhaps even pneumonia. She gave me a prescription for some antibiotics, steroids, and an inhaler. In particular azithromycin and prednisone. I picked them up at the drugstore then went to WholeFoods to get some goat’s milk and waffles for Katie.
When I got home Zach greeted me at the door and my wife was trying to put Katie to sleep. I was so tired I had a salad for lunch and went to bed. When I got up Katie met me at the bed and I told her what the doctor said. I gave her some stickers (see photo to the right) and we watched Care Bears for a bit.
This evening we talked to my mother via Skype. She got to see Zach for the first time.
