Day #1242 (Wed., May 29, 2013) – Alexa’s First Day
Today was Alexa’s first day as Katie’s babysitter. She will be with us for the summer before returning to University in the fall.
The photo to the right shows some butterflies on Katie’s bedroom wall.
Alexa had a hard time putting Katie to sleep for her nap. Katie wanted mommy and told Alexa to go away. I guess that Katie felt a bit remorseful later in the day and told my wife: “Mommy mommy, next time I’ll try not to tell Alexa go away.”.
This evening Katie got into the “Icy Hot” Cream. She rubbed it on her arm and came and told us that her arm hurt. My wife went and washed it off and everything was “back to normal”.
I put the movie “Madagascar” on television for Katie this evening. She loves those jungle animals you know…
This evening Katie started to take a drink from her juice bottle and then a drink from her milk bottle in alternating fashion. She would then smile at me and say “Yummy Yum”. Looking for attention.
This evening was watching Katie sitting on the couch watching a YouTube video. I said “You know daddy loves you Katie”? She replied “I like you too”… Only like… 🙂
