Day #1270 (Wed., Jun 26, 2013) – Visiting Next Door
My sister and I went to see the lawyer this morning for the reading of the will. We then went to the TD Bank to set up a bank account for my mother’s estate.
Meanwhile, back in North Carolina:
My wife and Katie had a nice visit at Jui-Lan and Mike’s place. Katie loved playing with the toys and loved the noodles! She ate them as a wild person…with her hands… After dinner they watched the photos form their trip to California and Colorado. Then Katie wanted to pluck Jui-Lan’s flowers (they brought a bag of them back)… When they we were outside, my wife noticed dark sky on one side, so they quickly said good-by and came home. In 5-10 minutes the storm started. They were so happy to be back! My wife had to work really hard to convince Katie that feeding the horse (my wife’s car) in this weather is not safe. She convinced her to just play in the tub with water, which she loved (of course, after making sure that my wife would not wash her hair). 🙂
Katie also decorated a crown last night (see photo to the right). All by herself. First she was peeling the pieces of paper off the stickers and throwing them on the floor. Then my wife brought her a bowl ‘for little pieces of paper’ and she dutifully put them in. Then she got to a huge jewel and the piece of paper was pretty large. She asked my wife if big pieces of paper also can go into that bowl. 🙂 It seems that if you direct her, she follows… However, later at night she ate an orange and had no problem throwing the peel on the floor. By then my wife was too exhausted to tell her anything…
