Day #1652 (Sun., July 13, 2014) – Daddy/Daughter Day #15
Katie was more or less happy to just stay at home today and do her crafts (see photo to the right). Looking back we are glad that we didn’t enroll her in daycare. She loves being with friends but she loves her alone time too when she can read and do crafts and play with her stuff.
This evening I took Katie out for another daddy/daughter day…albeit a brief one. The first stop was to the library to return some library books. We would have picked up some but the library was closed by the time we arrived.
The next stop was to Lowe’s where I picked up some more twine for the fence that I built on Friday. Katie wanted to carry it and place it on the counter. I showed her how to use the self-serve checkout scanner.
The final stop was to YoPop so Katie could get her fix of sugar. She had more chocolate than I would have liked so she was more active than normal this evening. I gave her a few chocolate covered raisins…I believe the first time that she ever had them.

1) Katie and I went to Lowe’s to get more twine for the fence this evening.
